Leigh-Ellen Ferreira is a dedicated leader in adult education and after-school programming with Falmouth Public Schools. With over 30 years of teaching combined with leadership, Leigh-Ellen has experience in fostering learning environments in Falmouth and beyond. Leigh-Ellen is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for both adult learners and K-12 students in after school programs.
With a Master’s in Educational Leadership, Leigh-Ellen has implemented innovative adult education programs that focus on skill development, workforce readiness, and community engagement. Leigh-Ellen believes in the transformative power of education to uplift individuals and strengthen communities. Learning is a lifetime adventure.
In addition to adult education, Leigh-Ellen has developed and managed after-school programs that provide enrichment and support for students. These initiatives not only promote academic success but also foster social-emotional learning and mentorship. Leigh-Ellen collaborates with educators, parents, and community organizations to create comprehensive support systems for all learners.
An enthusiastic advocate for equitable access to education, Leigh-Ellen regularly shares insights at workshops and conferences, contributing to the broader conversation on effective practices in community-based programs. Outside of her professional commitments, Leigh-Ellen enjoys outdoor activities and volunteering in many civic and non-profit organizations in Falmouth. Leigh-Ellen is a Falmouth native and a graduate of Falmouth High School.
