Mixed Media Art ~ Tuesdays

Want to ignite your creative spark, but don’t know how? This Mixed Media Class might be the right choice for you. This class is designed for people who have an interest in art (or arts and crafts) but don’t see themselves as artists (yet). Every skill level is welcome, especially beginners. We will explore the vast world of Mixed Media, learn about each medium and its characteristics, thus learn about its best application in your art work. The course includes how to work with a gel plate to create different kinds of prints that are used for collages later on in the course. Each of the first sessions will end with a finished project, like a card for a special occasion, one ore more tags, table cards, bookmarks or anything of your own idea. You will also learn about the different types of art journaling. At the end of the course, you will take home your own, unique art journal. Material logistics will be discussed in the first class. Please bring some acrylic or water color paint in colors of your choice, paint brushes, a glue stick, and container for water to your first class. If you have additional materials like water color paper, stamps, or stencils you are welcome to bring those as well.
