Doing Business in Massachusetts

Doing Business in Massachusetts will outline the considerations relevant to starting or running a business in Massachusetts. The course will cover forms of organization (proprietorship, partnership, corporation, etc); obligations to co-owners; obligations to employees; obligations to customers, suppliers, and contractors; taxes (briefly); licenses and permits; insurance; intellectual property; obtaining financing. This course will also include a discussion of positioning personal assets in light of business activities. A textbook will be provided. Bring your questions. Class will be held for one hour and instructor is available after class for questions.  This class will be taught by Attorney Richard M. Russell.
