This class is for beginners to yoga, or anyone with physical considerations that may require special modifications. Each class starts with a relaxing warmup session while seated on chairs, and then progresses to practicing some standing poses, using chairs as props for support, balance and stability. This method is designed to actively engage all the muscles while protecting the joints from stress. Breath awareness is an integral aspect of the class.
Over time, this process gradually builds strength, endurance, balance and flexibility in mind, body and spirit. Please bring a firm yoga mat, yoga block and yoga belt (Scarves or ties can be used as substitutes.)
